The Discover Nordegg (& Abraham Lake) Tourism Association is a collective
of local & like minded tourism operators who are dedicated to sharing the best our region has to offer, working together to celebrate the unique character of the Nordegg, Abraham Lake, Saskatchewan Crossing, and the Bighorn region.
As an Alberta-registered non-profit, we are the region’s new Destination Marketing Organization (DMO).

Promote the Destination—By raising awareness of the Nordegg & Abraham Lake, and the Bighorn region as a compelling travel destination. Through authentic, story-driven campaigns, we help travellers uncover the untamed beauty and unique experiences this area offers.
Tourism Marketing—We focus on cost-effective marketing materials that encourage visitors to explore and experience our area.
Support Tourism Activities—Our work is focused on tourism, supporting local guides, operators, and businesses that serve visitors.
Discover Nordegg & Abraham Lake’s area of focus follows Highway 11’s pavement—the David Thompson Corridor—from Saunders to the Saskatchewan Crossing, encompassing the communities, landscapes, and experiences along this iconic stretch. It also includes Highway 40, from the Brazeau River to the South Ram River, covering key access points into the Bighorn Backcountry and surrounding wilderness areas.
This region is the heart of our work—where we promote responsible tourism, support local businesses, and share the untamed beauty of Alberta’s wild frontier.
